Black Book Session with ZEDZ and CRASH

STRAAT presents our first ever Black Book Session event, celebrating two amazing graffiti legends and their contributions to our collection. Treat yourself to stunning new prints and posters by Bronx legend CRASH, created exclusively for STRAAT. We’ll also reveal the brand new ZEDZ’ installation GUNFINGA, and the accompanying 15 cm action figure. Live interviews with both artists will be held midway through the event. Towards the end of the session, both artists will be present to sign aforementioned prints, posters, action figures, and more on the spot!

ZEDZ

ZEDZ is a Dutch graffiti writer and visual artist. He is part of the first generation of style writers in the Netherlands and founder of the Dope Style Kings, one of the most respected graffiti crews in the country. In 1992 ZEDZ moved to Amsterdam to study at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy. Shortly after, he went global with his innovative styles that helped pioneer the 3D graffiti movement.

CRASH

Born John Matos in 1961, CRASH was raised in the Bronx, New York. At the age of 13, he started following the older teens from his neighborhood to the train yards and his name began appearing on trains circulating all throughout New York City. By 1980, he began transitioning from train yards to galleries, while also curating the ground-breaking Graffiti Art Success for America exhibition at Fashion MODA.
