The London Police was formed when two British artists, Chaz Barrisson and Bob Gibson, embarked on a very specific mission: to personally rejuvenate the streets of Amsterdam with their unique brand of artistic expression. The two were part of a dynamic group of artists at the end of the last century that helped pioneer a new street art movement, traveling the cities of Europe and Asia to leave their artistic statements on buildings, bridges and billboards. All of their work is created freehand with no specialized tools or stencils, showcasing an extraordinary ability to form perfect circles and confident bold lines on any scale.
The walled city depicted here is being invaded by aliens. Our heroes are on display in the forefront. This artwork was originally created for the 2017 Magic City project in Munich, after which it moved to Stockholm for the Swedish edition of this event. The artwork was restored in STRAAT in 2023.
