Sidney’s paintings bring out a sense of discomfort by playing with the juxtaposition of emotions, metaphors and reality. At the top of this canvas we see a crow, Sidney’s iconic figure and a symbol for the artist looking down at the world beneath him. A world that is moving so fast that city lights become blurred and life seems out of focus, a reflection of today’s fast-paced world.
