Alan De Cecco, widely recognised by his artistic alias SODA, is a multi-talented creative who explores various artistic mediums, including graffiti, painting, graphics, and sound. His minimalist creations are made of black and white shapes and employ a masterful shadowing technique that creates the illusion of a third dimension on the surface. Influenced by music, architecture, and abstraction, SODA skillfully weaves complexity into his geometric elements and cleverly arranges letter layouts.
βMusic is the primary inspiration behind my work. I create sounds and noises using synthesizers and drum machines, exploring new forms and shapes while considering movement and space. This process feels like a kind of fragmented animation happening in my mind. When I paint, I draw on these sounds, creating a back-and-forth loop of inspiration. My work involves deconstructing letters in a way that makes them intentionally unreadable. I embrace errors and glitches in sound and visuals, treating them as highlights or essential elements in my art.β / SODA
