SHN

(Brazil)

SHN is a multidisciplinary art group from São Paulo, Brazil. It is made up of a crew of people including Haroldo Paranhos, Eduardo Saretta, and Marcelo Fazolin. The group was created in 1998 in order to bring people together around an ideology inspired by DIY, and expressed by collective and experimental art.

This installation features 25 different icons printed on paper, and it serves as a tribute to the culture of promotional poster campaigns commonly seen on city streets. The use of bold lines and solid flat colors is a distinctive characteristic of SHN's artwork. The silkscreen technique plays a significant role in shaping the collective's presentation image; it is known for its ability to create bold and vibrant colors with sharp lines and contrasts, aligning with the description of SHN’s signature style.
