Remi Rough

(VK, 1971)

Remi Rough began his creative journey as a graffiti writer in South London in 1984. He became renowned for his slick style writing and big wall productions. Over a career spanning 38 years, his work has developed into a distinctive visual language, inspired by Constructivism, De Stijl, modernism and his relationship to graffiti writing. Remi is a key exponent of the ‘abstract graffiti’ movement and his work now sits comfortably within the wider contemporary art world.
