Janisdeman Straat Museum Amsterdam

(The Netherlands, 1983)

Interacting with their surroundings, the murals by JanIsDeMan couldn’t exist anywhere else than where they’re at. The same is true for this large canvas: the googly eyes of his character reflect its location. In his works, Jan always experiments with the illusion of depth, intended to entertain and amuse the viewer.

“There is too much drama in the world. So, I just want to make people smile and forget about everything for a moment.” / JanIsDeMan
