Galo

(Italy, 1972)

As always, Galo freestyled his characteristic Gigioni, the signature goofy-faced characters depicted here. Passage refers to Gigioni passing by on a crowded street. There are all kinds of emotions visible here, so there should be a face in there somewhere representing your current mood.

While living in Amsterdam for 10 years, Galo became one of the European pioneers of street art. He returned to his home country Italy in 2007, where he currently lives and paints. In 2010 he opened the Galo Art Gallery in Turin where he curates shows related to the post graffiti and pop art scene.
