Seven years after painting 1+1=3 for STRAAT, Dourone returned for La pareja. 1+1=3 dealt with their two life essences combined, a synergy which works both on a personal and artistic level, allowing the whole to be greater than the sum of its parts. La pareja discusses the resemblance of two people who know each other very well, coming to seem like twins in many aspects, but at the same time preserving their individuality and their own personality.
