D7606 is a British artist who has been active since 2012. Their medium of choice is paste ups, also known as poster art. D7606 describes their style as follows: “Take an iconic British symbol, add an iconic person, and create a plague of pop art paste ups in ‘Crayola’ colors.”
The piece they did for our collection is a pop art collage of paste ups featuring D7606’s trademark iconic British telephone boxes, including one with pop/punk icon Debbie Harry inside. The collage is made up of 400+ individual paper paste ups of around 80 different artists from the UK, Europe and North and South America.
