Inspired by her own life, Caratoes paints about her personal feelings and needs. Through the fusion of fragmented realism and abstract shapes, her paintings offer a great sense of movement and depth. Caratoes creates a perfect balance in her compositions by using black and white colors for the realistic elements, often portraits, together with vibrant colors, often neon, for the juxtaposing linework.
