George Rose started painting murals in 2015, after studying graphic design and growing tired of working indoors. She is known for her bright colors and graphic shapes. Typically, George explores the fragility of nature, featuring endangered flora and fauna, and the transformation of the micro into a macro-scale.

For this work, George used the phrase Nothing Lasts Forever in particular because of the diverse meaning it can have, for example referring to endangered animals, water levels and even street art. It also allows the viewer to come up with their own conclusion. By combining the beauty of art with important messages, she adds a layer of positivity to her work: “I find comfort in the thought that nothing lasts forever, it brings a sense of appreciation to the now.”
