Tomislav Topic has created visual interventions in urban space since his beginnings as a graffiti artist. His installations contrast the public space with aesthetic structures that unfold a suggestive density with their mostly parallel hanging, coarse-meshed color fabric. Depending on the viewer's perspective and the weather, vivid color spaces emerge that elude clear categorizations.

“My work is always site-specific — it cannot exist independently from its location. I search for that one setting where the piece feels not placed, but meant to be. The space and the artwork carry equal weight; they enter into a dialogue that shapes the final result. Every site brings its own rhythm, proportions, and atmosphere — and my task is to respond to that. In this case, the piece had to work from multiple perspectives: from ground level, where people pass by, and from the panorama deck, where the entire scale and composition unfold. It took time, patience, and many small decisions to make it truly belong.” / Tomislav Topić
