The Global award winners will be announced on Tuesday, January 18th, 2022 during a special award ceremony via social media. Casting your vote also means you have the chance of winning a year of free Tiqets tickets. Voting closes on Sunday, January 16th, 2022.
STRAAT will be facing some serious competition for both the Best Museum and the Best Hidden Gem awards, as we’re taking on iconic names such as the Old Royal Naval College, the Museo Ferrari Maranello, the Musée Marmottan Monet and the Roald Dahl Museum. Other Global award nominees include the Van Gogh Museum, the Vatican Museums and the Mauritshuis.Â
Winning Best Museum the Netherlands and Best Hidden Gem the Netherlands was already a major honor for us as a new museum. We’re grateful to everyone that reviewed us, as well as all the amazing artists that contributed to our museum. Now let’s see what the Global awards will bring us…Â
The Tiqets Remarkable Venue Awards were established in 2017 to recognize and celebrate the best attractions and museums in the most-visited cities around the world. We won Best Museum the Netherlands 2021 based on visitor reviews. We were awarded Best Hidden Gem the Netherlands 2021 by a panel of industry experts. In total, the 2021 awards honored winners in 7 categories for 6 markets. The international winners face each other during the Global awards. Public voting determines the overall winners.
