Okuda San Miguel is an artist based in Madrid whose artistic language - usually classified as Pop-Surrealism - is characterized by geometric shapes and multicolored patterns that can be found in paintings, sculptures, tapestry, and digital formats. His large-scale public art projects located worldwide, combined with his active participation in major social projects, has made him one of the most admired artists of our times.
“The Kaos Star is a common element in my work, a colorful, three-dimensional, and asymmetrical compass rose. Its spikes represent the multiple paths and options available in life, emphasizing the freedom to choose one’s own destiny, looking towards the future facing established social norms and conventions from a different perspective - a perspective where diversity and multiculturalism are celebrated.” / Okuda San Miguel
